“ Very friendly staff with a great selection of hot food and cakes. Thier milky coffee is the hottest in town! Toasted teacakes are a favourite of ours and to finish off the ice cream is the best! Plenty of seating available and tables always cleared away quickly. ”

“ My wife and I go to Citrones almost every time that we go shopping in Chester le Street. Sometimes,we have a proper meal, but, this time it was just for a drink and a snack. The staff are very friendly. The place (as usual) was spotless. We even grabbed a couple of fruit scones with jam and cream on for when we got home. ”

The place is full of life, you can feel it and see it when you walk in the door. The service is brilliant, everyone is welcoming and warm when you approach the counter. The food is the best I’ve had in a very long time and it’s a big reason I come back at least 3 times a month. All their food is cook to order and it doesn’t take long to cook either, it’s fresh and hot always when you pick it up. Which makes it one of the best places in Chester-Le-Street just for that reason alone; however the other reasons such as the ones mentioned above make it THE best place in area. Great food, great atmosphere and great overall experience. If you were interested in going here, do it. You won’t regret it. ”
